#BecauseWeMay Sale!

To celebrate the awesomeness of being able to do what we want with our game prices on Steam, we’re participating in a shindig put together by Ron Carmel of 2D Boy (World of Goo) and some other fantastic Indies where we’re putting our game on sale just for fun!

From now until June 1st Dungeons of Dredmor, Realm of the Diggle Gods, and the Complete pack are all on sale for 50% off on Steam!

This is amazing. Thanks for calling my attention to this since I would have no way to have found out otherwise. Probably end up buying games OTHER than dredmor (seeing as how I already own it) but I will put the word out there for friends, and maybe I will pick up a gift copy.

You keep using these pictures with cheerful, smiling batties on them. Are you conspiring to make me feel bad for killing batties?

Is there a specific reason why this is limited to Steam ?
Selling the bundle for identical prices of on Desura would be nice !

Yeah, I just bought it on Steam (because I’m a sucker for achievements and community tools) and I thought, “Oh, I’d better go buy it on Desura as well so that I can play on Linux as well.” Saw it was $1.50 more, was momentarily distressed, and bought it anyways.

I also grabbed ROTDG as package over at steam around XMas. What I find a pitty is that Desura is a Linux-friendly distribution platform and is somewhat inferior to Steam again.

1st it took eons for ROTDG to be released at Desurad and now we see a “deal” which is limited to Steam again. While I am an avid Steam user myself, I am also a Linux gamer and somewhat of a Desura supporter. I think it is very neccessary to have alternatives to Steam. Especially since the Linux future of Steam is still unsecure.

Game publisher such as Gaslamp Games do directly influece the success by platforms like Desura simply by the decision if they support it or not.

  6. Linux binaries are actually included in the Steam build; that said, you have to extract them with WINE.

I am really disappointed,I was goin to get all the achievment in the games, then I found that you guys have removed the Deadshot skill tree, leaving the achievment thoug,so now noone can take it…seriously,I am really disappointed on this, please fix it :\

The Deadshot skill is dummied out of the game, but it is still in the code and you can still access it.

Find the “last.txt” file in your Dungeons of Dredmor folder. This is the file that sets the skills when you click the “Last” button on the skill selection screen. Each skill has its own number. Deadshot is 12. So change one of the numbers to 12 and then hit “Last” when choosing skills, and you’ll be able to play with Deadshot.

It’s a pretty lame skill tree. It only has three levels and all they do is buff your accuracy and crit slightly. Boring and underpowered.

Thanks for the heads up! I bought 2 complete copies, one for my brother and another for my friend. I also picked up a few of the Steam games I’ve been eyeing, the ones with the deeper discounts or the ones I figure I’ll play before the Christmas sale comes around again. There were also a surprising number of fun little iOS games on sale.
